God Rocks! Summer Outreach Curriculum

God Rocks! is the new multiuse program from Kids First Curriculum. The program has been designed to work as a three, four or five day outreach program, as an alternative to traditional Vacation Bible School, or as an extended Summer-long program. It is just what your church needs for an exciting break from the routine.

God Rocks! follows the Laying the Foundation curriculum series, and continues to train children in developing a fundamental, foundational belief structure for their lives. This series revolves around a powerful Biblical metaphor: God is The Rock. The first four lessons concentrate on key questions children ask:

1) Where do we come from, and why are we here?
2) Who keeps me safe in a dangerous world?
3) What is going to happen to me when I die?
4) Why does everything always change?

These four lessons are woven together to form one complete program that can be used for a multi-day program; such as a Vacation Bible School or an evangelical outreach.

Four other lessons are also included that continue with the “Rock” theme and are designed to be used either to extend the program for an eight week session, or as four independent lessons. Plus, it is not necessary to teach lessons 5 – 8 in any particular order; which increases your flexibility. These lessons focus on finding True Wisdom, how to handle times of testing, the Holy Spirit, and the True Church.

Kids First does weekly discipleship programs in housing communities in Athens, GA.  Besides our most important responsiblity of sharing the Gospel and teaching children biblical foundations we also try to provide a healthy and filling snack each week.  Of course, this is the most costly aspect of our program.  Currently, we are able to provide Papa John's Pizza and Chick-fil-a  chicken nuggets once a month.  Both buisnesses offer discounts to us, but we are still left with two weeks a month that we cannot provide a hearty snack.
